Join us at DC's 2024 Employment First Summit for an enlightening and enriching experience! We'll empower you with essential skills, valuable resources, networking opportunities, and knowledge to support diversity in the workplace.
The 2024 Employment First Summit welcomes people with disabilities of all ages, family members, service providers, advocates, educators, policymakers, employers, District government staff, and community leaders. Together, we will learn, celebrate successes, and build connections that help both employers and people with disabilities.

The Employment First Summit is sponsored by the Employment First Planning Committee, which is convened by the DC Developmental Disabilities Council (DD Council - https://ddc.dc.gov/). This year's Summit the Mayor's Office Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (MODDHH) is our cohost.
This event will be primarily in English, and interpretation will be available in American Sign Language (ASL), Spanish, and Amharic. Captions will be provided in English, with AI real-time translation into Spanish and Amharic via a Streamtext link.

2024 Employment First Champion Awards
The Employment First Champion Awards recognize difference-makers who have advanced Employment First goals in DC. Awardees are individuals or organizations that have supported outstanding employment outcomes, served as role models for others working to achieve their career goals, or created a culture of inclusion, support, and excellence in the workplace.
The 2024 Employment First Champion Award categories are:

Exhibiting at the Summit
The Exhibition Hall for the Employment First Summit will be open Friday, October 25, 2024, from 9 a.m. - 4 pm. Exhibitors will have one rectangular table and two chairs. Please submit your request by Friday, October 21, 2024, at 11:59 pm EDT.
