The Developmental Disabilities Council (DD Council) creates an Advocacy and Public Policy Agenda (Agenda) to identify the most important changes needed to enable people with developmental disabilities and their families to live their best lives in DC. This Agenda establishes priorities that guide Council staff, Councilmembers, and advocacy partners in our work to engage in advocacy, systems change, and capacity building with our community.

On March 21, 2024, the DD Council approved an Agenda for Fiscal Years 24-25. This Agenda centers on self-determination, advocacy, leadership, employment, and community living. See the full Agenda below!
