2027 - 2031 DDC State Plan

The District of Columbia Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) is putting together its next 5-year plan. We call this the 2027 – 2031 DDC State Plan. To decide what goals and activities to include in the Plan, we want to know what DC residents with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families need. Please join us and help us answer the question: What would help people with DD and their families live the life they want to live?

El Consejo de Discapacidades del Desarrollo del Distrito de Columbia (DDC) llevará a cabo un foro de escucha comunitaria para conocer lo que piensan las personas de nuestra comunidad, para que podamos priorizar los temas que son más importantes para usted en nuestro trabajo. Utilizaremos esta información para elaborar un Plan Estatal Quinquenal, que determinará cómo apoyamos a las personas con discapacidades del desarrollo (DD) y sus familias en el DC. ¿Qué necesitan las personas con DD y sus familias en el DC? ¿Cuáles son las mejores maneras de apoyar a las personas con discapacidades del desarrollo y sus familias en el DC?

Public Hearings for 2027-2031 State Plan Draft, and
45-Day Public Comment Period

The DC Developmental Disabilities Council (DD Council) announces its Hybrid Public Hearings and a 45-Day Comment Period for the draft Five-Year State Plan (2027–2031). The public comment period starts on May 12, 2026, and ends on June 25, 2026. The State Plan will guide the future goals and direction for the DD Council, reflecting the diverse voices of the community members.
