The DC Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) supports DC residents with developmental disabilities and their families to advocate for issues that are important to them! DDC staff can help people write, practice, and deliver testimony or comments to elected officials and other leaders. This often happens during performance oversight and budget hearings held by the Council of DC, but it can happen anytime someone wants to make their voice heard about an issue.
See below for a testimony template that you can use to develop your own testimony!
If you want help advocating for an issue important to you in DC, contact the DDC at ddc@dc.gov or call 202-724-5055 and ask for the DD Council.
