Dear Community Members, Friends & Colleagues of the Disability Community:
The dates and times for the Fiscal Year 2014/15 Agency Performance Oversight Hearings during February and March have been established. The Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) staff encourages self-advocates, activists, family members, and other supporters to provide verbal and written testimony before the DC Councilmembers. Community members are welcomed to share their stories, recommendations, and opportunities for continued improvement as District agencies are held accountable and charged with providing high quality, integrated community-based supports, services and programs for our District residents with disabilities. Many changes have recently occurred on the DC Council and the Councilmembers need to hear your voice, thoughts, and recommendations as we move this great city forward.
The attached document provides the complete schedule for all Agency Performance Oversight Hearings in February and March. For your convenience, below is an abbreviated schedule of upcoming performance oversight hearings for specific District agencies that may interest you as a member of Disability community and a constituent of the District of Columbia. If you wish to provide testimony and need assistance with developing it, the DDC staff are willing to help.
