Many Communities: One Voice - 14th Annual Fair Housing Symposium

Last Date:

Location:
900 Massachusetts Ave NW
Building:
Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church
Details:
The DC Office of Human Rights, Equal Rights Center, DC Developmental Disabilities Council, and the DC Department of Housing and Community Development are pleased to invite you to the 14th Annual DC Fair Housing Symposium. This symposium seeks to bring together housing advocates and housing providers in order to foster an open dialogue on housing in the District, and how all parties can work collaboratively to end housing discrimination in the District.

This year's symposium will focus on some of the most common discrimination complaints in the District: source of income discrimination and discrimination against individuals with disabilities. The symposium will be a forum for housing professionals and fair housing advocates to learn critical information and increase their toolbox of resources to help individuals and families to recognize housing discrimination. Attendees can select morning and afternoon panels to attend on accessibility, source of income, and LGBT protections.

Registration begins at 9 am and a continental breakfast will be provided starting at that time.

Please arrive early in order to register and grab breakfast so the event may start promptly at 10am. Lunch will also be provided.
